The Dirtiest Soccer Girl In The World Goes To: Elizabeth Lambert

I’ve definitely seen some pretty crazy things as a soccer player and some pretty dirty players but I remember when I first saw this back when it had happened it about blew my mind. Partially, because girls tend to play a bit more fair than guys do and although I think they are competitive, guys tend to get ticked off and go out for personal vengeance just a bit more.

Well at least I thought that until this came out.

I would recommend getting on SportsCenter for doing something great. Heck, I’d recommend maybe making a “Not so top-10 play” but I would never condone doing this.

What really blows my mind and that she wasn’t even thrown out of the game and it wasn’t until afterwards that Elizabeth Lambert, defender for New Mexico University, was suspended indefinitely (thank god) from her college soccer season.

I will tell you playing soccer I learned that you can completely take somebody out hard, but actually do it in a legal way. This would mean you can go in as hard as you want as long as you get the ball first before the player. That’s a part of soccer. But some of these plays you can tell are downright malicious and pretty shocking.

At least for me I can’t help but think, “I hope somebody cleans her clock soon.” I don’t know how anybody on the other team didn’t think the same but I digress.

Sportsmanship is the key it really is. I feel another blog post about this coming on but for now watch this video and feel free to leave some comments.
